This will register you for newsletters, some membership promotional material, and allow us to keep you informed of special prospect events. When the process gets started, please remember that we are a volunteer organization, so keep the following things in mind...

If you've been to some events and are ready to join the club but nobody has given you a sign-up form, then we dropped the ball! To get the ball rolling again, either grab an officer at a event, contact our or download the form from the Prospect Page (available when you get a login for this Website). You can also email any of the officers. Once you've filled out the form and the membership officer has verified your height, your name will be printed in the club newsletter. After that, you can be voted in at the next business meeting! The newsletter usually goes to press around the 15th of the month, so if you get your information in by then, you could be a member the first Tuesday (the date of the Business Meeting) of the next month!

Here's what we consider ...

Prospective members of the Tall Texans of Dallas must meet the following requirements to be considered for membership:

• Height
  • You must measure in (in stocking feet) at a minimum of 6 feet, 2 inches tall if you're a man or 5 feet, 10 inches if you're a woman.
  • Note: You will be measured to verify your height!
• Age
  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Attendance
  • All applicants must have attended a minimum of two social functions (hey, we have to meet you sometime). To see what you can attend, see the club calendar.
• Participation
  • All applicants must have voluntered for a minimum of one work function (like helping clean up a party, attending the business meeting, or hosting an event).
• Agree to the Constitution and Bylaws
  • All applicants must read the Constitution and Bylaws and agree to uphold the standards of membership described therein.
• Acceptance
  • All applicants must be voted in by the majority of the membership present at a monthly business meeting, after their name has been published in the club newsletter.
• Dues
  • Annual dues, payable in January, are:
    • $50.00 for an individual
    • $60.00 for a couple, or
    • $40.00 for a non-voting, newsletter subscription only
  • If you join in the middle of the year, dues will be prorated. Also, if you are already a member and pay your dues for the next year by the 1st of January, you save $5.00.
